H.O.R.S.E (Poker)
A game or tournament format in which five forms of poker are played
in rotation
Hand (Poker Games)
The hand is the cards that you hold.
Hard Total (Blackjack)
Any hand that does not contain an ace or a hand where the ace is counted
as one.
Hard Way (Craps)
There are four hard way bets : hard four (2 and 2), hard six (3 and
3), hard eight (4 and 4), and hard ten (5 and 5). Hard 6 and 8 pay
10 to 1, hard 4 and hard 10 pay 8 to 1
Heads Up (Poker)
A game played with only two players
Hearts
One of the four card suits, always red and resembles a heart shape
Hi-Lo (Poker)
Variations of poker in which the pot is split between the best hand
and best low hand
High Card (Poker)
A hand that wins if no other hands contain ranking cards.
High Limit
A game or area where the betting limits are higher than average
High Roller
A gambler who wagers large amounts of money
Hit (Blackjack)
You hit when you want to take another card to add to your hand
Hold Buttons (Video Poker)
Five buttons on the machine used to select cards to hold before the
draw
Hole Card
A card face down in the players hand or the dealers cards in blackjack
Hot Roll (Craps)
A roll in which the dice are continually passing and are held by the
shooter
House Edge
The mathematical advantage that the casino holds on each game
